Microsoft allows certain companies and third-party vendors to advertise their products and services in Windows 11. While these ads may be unobtrusive to many and can often be easily ignored, they may affect concentration for some people, and may be distracting while working at the computer. In this case, you can disable the appearance of ads in Windows 11 by following these methods:
1- Change settings in Windows 11 to disable the appearance of ads:
To start disabling ads in Windows 11 by changing some settings, open the Settings app from the Start menu, and then follow these steps:
1. Select Privacy & Security.
2. Under the Windows permissions section, click General.
3. Disable the option (let apps show me personalized ads using my advertising ID) by pressing the toggle button next to it.
4. Turn off Show me suggested content in the Settings app by pressing the toggle button next to it.
5. You can also turn off other features on the screen itself:
- Let websites show me locally relevant content by accessing my language list.
- Let windows improve Start and search results by tracking app launches.
It allows the operating system to track your activity while using the computer.
6. Click on the System tab on the left side of the Settings app, then choose Notifications.
7. Scroll down to the Additional settings tab, then click the arrow next to the tab name to show the available options.
8. Disable all the options that will appear to you, this way Windows 11 stops suggesting better ways to use the operating system, these suggestions can be annoying for experienced users.
9. Click on the Personalization tab on the left of the Settings app, then choose Device usage from the menu that will appear on the right.
10. Disable all the options listed on this page to disable ads and suggestions that appear based on the apps you use.
2- Remove previously installed applications in Windows 11 to disable the appearance of ads:
Some apps previously installed on your computer may show ads to users in Windows 11 to purchase their other products. If these apps aren't important to you, and you no longer use them, you can remove them by following these steps:
- Open the Settings app in Windows 11, and then tap the Apps option.
- Click on the Installed apps option from the menu on the left.
- Delete any apps you don't want from this list by clicking the three-dot button next to the app name, and then choose Uninstall.
3- Disable ads from appearing in File Explorer:
File Explorer in Windows 11 may display ads, and you can disable them by following these steps:
1.Open the File Explorer app and click the three-dot button, and select Options from the drop-down menu to go to the settings shown in the following image.
2. Click on the (View) tab, scroll down in the (Advanced settings) section until you find the (Show sync provider notifications) option, then remove the check signal shown in the box next to this option.
3. Click the Apply button, and then click OK.
