This includes turning off features like Bluetooth and location settings. You can also lower the screen brightness and reduce the number of enabled notifications. If your phone supports the Always-On Display feature, it is preferable to disable it as well. By following these guidelines, you will be able to make the most out of your battery and preserve its health for a longer period.

2. Reduce charging cycles:

According to information from Apple, after approximately 500 full charge cycles, iPhones retain only about 80% of their original battery capacity. A charge cycle is counted when 100% of the battery's capacity is used.

Therefore, the less you use your iPhone, the fewer charging cycles it will go through, and the longer the battery lifespan will be. Additionally, keeping your device at full charge or fully discharging it can negatively affect the battery health. It is preferable to keep the battery level between 40% and 80% as much as possible to maintain battery health.

3. Avoid leaving your iPhone connected to the charger overnight:

It is not recommended to leave your iPhone connected to the charger overnight. Extended charging can have a negative impact on the battery's health, as overcharging can lead to damage.

This happens because repetitive charging after reaching full charge puts additional stress on the battery cells, causing them to receive more energy than they actually need. Due to this overcharging, the phone remains connected to the charger at 100% for a long period during the night, which harms the battery's health.

However, there is a built-in feature called "Optimized Battery Charging" that helps preserve the iPhone battery's health. You can enable this feature by going to your phone's settings, then Battery, then Battery Health & Charging, and from there, you can activate the "Optimized Battery Charging" feature.

By enabling this feature, your iPhone will delay charging after reaching 80% battery capacity. Using machine learning, the iPhone learns your daily charging patterns and activates the feature only when it anticipates a long charging period.

4. Avoid using the phone while charging:

While charging your iPhone, you can read messages and browse social media for a limited time. However, it is advised to avoid extended gaming sessions. The reason for this is that electronic games can cause the phone's temperature to rise, and if you play games while charging, it can exacerbate the problem and have a long-term effect on the iPhone battery health.

5. Avoid leaving the iPhone without charge for an extended period:

If you want to use your iPhone for a long time, you need to take care of its battery, as lithium-ion battery cells have a limited lifespan. One factor that significantly affects battery health is leaving it discharged for an extended period without charging. If the battery is depleted and left discharged for a long time, it may enter a deep discharge state and may not respond afterwards.

Therefore, when the battery level in your iPhone reaches 20% or lower, it is recommended to enable Low Power Mode to extend the battery's lifespan until you have the opportunity to charge it again.
