Free course from Harvard to learn artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (ai) has made a significant impact in the technical market in all its major fields and functions, and its popularity has increased over the past few months, as both companies and the public have seen first-hand examples of its potential applications, such as: ChatGPT that offers text generation, DALL-E, and Midjourny, which offers image generation from text.

A Gartner survey showed that 80% of executives believe that automation can be applied to any business decision, and that companies are starting to apply AI more.

As Dell said in its 2023 Technology Outlook: "Artificial intelligence will become the main driver of innovation for this year."

This growth indicates an increased demand for AI engineers, and other jobs related to the field. Harvard University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, has begun offering courses on the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Course: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence using Python

(Harvard CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python) covers key AI principles and concepts such as search algorithms, knowledge models, uncertainty and optimization, and builds on them to discuss more advanced concepts such as machine learning, neural networks and natural language processing, as well as machine learning and AI libraries in Python.

What will you learn in this course?

  • Graph search algorithms.
  • Machine learning.
  • Reinforcement learning.
  • Principles of artificial intelligence.
  • Neural networks, natural language processing.
  • Probability theory.
  • How to design smart systems.
  • How to use artificial intelligence in Python.

Course Details:

  • Duration: 7 weeks.
  • Price: Free.
  • Level: Suitable for beginners.
  • There is a certificate: yes, but it costs $199.
Harvard University offers CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python through edX, one of the most important online educational platforms in the world, which was founded in 2012 as a non-profit initiative as a collaboration between Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and now offers thousands of courses in partnership with more than 160 universities and companies.

This course covers concepts and algorithms in the foundation of modern artificial intelligence, and focuses on the ideas that give rise to technologies such as game engines, handwriting recognition, and machine translation. It also includes many practical projects that will help you understand the theories of search algorithms, classification, optimization, and reinforcement learning, as well as how to use artificial intelligence and machine learning in Python programs.
The duration of this course is up to 7 weeks, and the study is expected to take from 10 hours to 30 hours per week, and the course includes a number of quizzes and practical projects. This course is completely free, but getting certified will cost $199.

This course is presented by David Malan, a professor of computer science at Harvard University, who is characterized by his easy and fun style in explaining the most complex technical concepts, and Brian Yu, a senior teacher in computer science at Harvard University.
